Looks like I have some catching up to do!!
The Wilcox Clan brought in the New Year by Chef Steve and his assistant, Chef Kali, making a delicious, if not award winning, cheese cake. We managed to stay up until 11pm...way past our bedtimes...and that was a surprise to me that we made it that late. :)
Steve celebrated his 29th (wow!) birthday with a Tombo Tuna dish from McCormick & Schmidts, while I played it safe with Alaskan Cob Fish & Chips...pregnancy pickiness got to me. :) It was a fun night of getting to dress up and spend a night at a really nice restaurant in downtown pdx on the waterfront...alone. (big grin). Steve kinda took this bday a little harder than most considering it was his last bday in his 20's. Yep..get out that cane and Poligrip Steve, your an old man now!
Onto other news....
In another couple weeks we get to find out the...drum roll please...what we're having! Its been a very rough road pregnancy wise, so this is something I've been looking forward to...more of a milestone I think, for me, than finding out the sex. So far we have the whole team at the salon saying I'm having a boy and we have Steve, I and Kali saying we're having a girl...ok, so saying Kali wants a sister is a stretch. :) But half the time she says she does. lol.
This past week, all of us came down with a 2-in-1 deal of head cold/stomach flu, including poor little Kali. If we could just plan it so we weren't ALL sick at the same time it would be a little bit better. ;) Now we're all on the mend and slowly feeling back to ourselves. Yes!!!! We celebrated with a trip to IHOP for breakfast...we were so sick of eating bread, egg noodles, and saltines all week. Ahh...it tasted delicious!
I think I covered everything...mmmm....yep. Well, if we can keep well for a good month, I might be able to keep up on this blog of ours, so here's toasting to the New Years for no more illnesses and more sunshine...come on pdx, work with us. :)
