New Blogger!

Let's see...where do I start?! So many things have been happening! An introduction perhaps?
We'll give Steve dibs on the first paragraph.

Life in the world of Steve...what is it like to be a Steve???...one might find that Steve has made another job change to a bigger (and better) firm in public accounting at Geffen-Mesher as a CPA. I haven't gotten much out of him as far as how much he likes it yet, but from what I have gathered he is adjusting well and starting to find his place among many new faces. He hasn't enjoyed the bus ride downtown, but hopefully that will change come late spring when he can take the max-line. So, he IS enjoying it, especially once he's settled more and a bit more busy.

Miss Kali is doing just great. She full of the same bright, bubbly personality that makes up our little Queenie. At least she thinks she is. :) She happily enjoys tromping through the fall leaves near our apartments and makes sure to wave "hi" and "goodbye" to the school bus drivers who frequently drive by everyday. They know her so well that they all wave to her and/or honk their horns for her as they drive by. At 20 months, she is a VERY active toddler with a very creative mind. That can be good AND bad, if you know what I'm getting at. :) She LOVES to read and can be busied with a good picture book while I do laundry...YES!!! :) She loves to help unload the dishwasher, though I usually find her AND my silverware holder missing as soon as its emptied. She'll be happy to shut the door for you and even tell you where to sit, if she so pleases. Mr. Teddy still has the highest ranking among the stuffed animal club. Some mornings we will walk in to find who was "thrown out of the club" the night before. Elmo and Bob the Builder have been recent graduates in the Kali Club. All others cease to remain victims of the floor...below the crib. Maybe someday they'll graduate too. Sigh.

My job has been growing quite steadily and it has been very nice to see my regular clientele grow month after month. The ladies I work with are all such great gals, I don't think I"ll ever leave!!! They'll have to kick me out! :) I always get a good laugh when I'm there, and with them all being mothers too, it helps to have that support amongst each other. Between working part time and being a mom/wife, life seems to always keep me busy, yet with a sense of humor. As many of you know, we recently found out we are expecting kid #2, probably in June. This came as quite the surprise, but we are very grateful to be given this gift. So, now...between working, being a mom and wife AND being pregnant in the oh, so wonderful early stages, it has been an eye opener for sure, not to mention quite draining! Kudos to those mom's with 3 or more kids...I don't know how they do it with morning sickness! :) Our first appt with the OB will be Wedn the 14th, so we'll hopefully be able to report more on this subject!

I hope everyone enjoys the periodic updates I will be posting on here. I thought it would be a great way for family and friends, who don't live close to us, to be able to get updates on things are going on in the Wilcox Clan. Enjoy!
